How to play Spiral Survivor

  1. Lock exactly five options in each category: food, activity, game, entertainment. Trim blanks. 1–40 characters. No duplicates in a category.
  2. Draw a spiral and count how many times the stroke crosses the spoke. That integer is N. N must be 2–20. Need at least 2 rings — add a loop or type the count. If we are unsure, we will not guess.
  3. Start at the first option. Count N live options (the start position is count 1). Cross out that option. Continue from the next live option. Repeat until one live option remains.
  4. Run independently per category with the same N.
  5. Direction is list-forward, down the page. Never shuffled.

Completed example (N=3)

Food: Diner breakfast-for-dinner, Sheet-pan pizza night, Noodle takeout feast, Farmers-market graze, Grilled-cheese cook-off.

On the Studio defaults, N=3 always keeps the fourth option:
