How to play MASH Tonight

Lists plus a number. One shared count. Strike until one remains per category.

Childhood-famous. Not Spiral. One shared count walks Food, then Activity, then Game, then Entertainment.

The ritual

1. Pick Zero Thought, Make It Ours, or Blank Slate. Exactly five live options in every category or you do not start.
2. Player picks N from 2 to 9. Reject N < 2 and N > 9.
3. Start at the first Food option as count 1. Count across all four lists as one stream.
4. Strike every Nth still-open option. When a category has one left, lock it and skip it in the count.
5. Four locked survivors are tonight.

Digital vs print

• Digital: tap-count-strike. Highlight walks the shared stream; tap lands each strike.
• Print: pencil X on the four lists. Same N, same start, same survivors.
• A11y: say 2–9.

Locked oracle

Defaults, N = 3: Food Jar-sauce spaghetti / Activity Creek-bridge sit / Game Hallway hop-races / Entertainment Slide-tray stories.

Unit path only: taco, ramen, pizza, sushi, bagel; N = 3 → pizza.

No Math.random(). Blank Slate starts empty and does not silently refill defaults.
