How to play Hopscotch

Toss a marker. Hop to a square. Five squares in a column (1 farthest, 5 at toes). One toss. Square i = option i in all four. Not a die and not a spin.

Don't plan the date. Play for it. You don't have to agree on a plan. Just agree to play.

Start

  1. Pick a mode: Zero Thought (schema defaults, skip edit), Make It Ours (defaults loaded, replace any slot), or Blank Slate (empty lists — does not silently refill defaults).
  2. Each category is authored with five options: food, activity, game, entertainment. You need exactly five live options in every category or you do not start.

The ritual

  1. Partner tosses. You hop.
  2. Marker fully in a square wins that square. Line or miss is toss-again. Never write 2.
  3. Square n is option n in Food, Activity, Game, and Entertainment.
  4. That is tonight.

Digital is a flick-toss-marker onto the same five squares. Print is a floor grid or a table grid. Same square, same winners. Say 1–5 if you skip the toss. That is the real a11y path. No Math.random().

Locked oracle
