How to play Desk Die
Fold a paper cube. Faces 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, AGAIN. Roll once per category.
Don't plan the date. Play for it. You don't have to agree on a plan. Just agree to play.
Start
- Pick a mode: Zero Thought (schema defaults, skip edit), Make It Ours (defaults loaded, replace any slot), or Blank Slate (empty lists — does not silently refill defaults).
- Each category is authored with five options: food, activity, game, entertainment. You need exactly five live options in every category or you do not start.
The ritual
- Cut and fold the cube net. Faces 1–5 and AGAIN. Sixth face is never a sixth option.
- You roll Food. Partner rolls Activity. You roll Game. Partner rolls Entertainment.
- Face n (1–5) is option n. Flick-roll the cube once per category.
- AGAIN, off the table, or cocked is roll-again that category. No Math.random().
- Say 1-5 four times if you skip the flick. Four legal faces are tonight.
Locked oracle
Faces 3, 1, 5, 2 → Food Microwave nachos / Activity Parking-garage view / Game Dice-less liar's dice / Entertainment Mixtape from a drawer.
Unit: Food face 3 → Microwave nachos. Face 6 / AGAIN never wins.
