Food date night — what should we eat?

“What should we eat?” is the boss fight of date night. Another list of restaurants will not save you. A short pad and a game will.

Put five food lines down. Make them doable tonight. Butter-noodle bowls. Pantry-taco scramble. Tomato-rice skillet. Peanut-sauce noodles. Jar-sauce spaghetti energy without naming a jar brand. Cottage-cheese toast. Honey-mustard whatever is in the fridge. Broth-and-cracker mugs if you're tired. Cinnamon-sugar pita if you want something sweet and dumb. Picnic on the kitchen floor counts as a food date night. So does “we plate it nice and eat on the porch.”

If you want to go out without a plan spiral: aisle-wander grocery and cook what you grab, creek-bank snacks, parking-garage sunset with takeout you already own. Still no restaurant brands. Still tonight.

Once dinner is on the pad, add one activity and one entertainment so the night isn't only chewing. Back-stair sunset. Closet-mixtape flip. Card-house contest while the noodles boil.

Don't pick from a list — play
